Audrey Nguyen is a Licensed Professional Counselor that joined the Rice Counseling Center in 2017. She is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and of the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. Prior to joining the RCC, Audrey worked in behavioral health hospital settings providing solution focused therapy and crisis intervention to clinically diagnosed populations. Audrey also worked at the Houston OCD Program where she utilized Exposure and Response Prevention methods with individuals diagnosed with anxiety disorders. She has attended various workshops for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy skills training and takes a client-centered and eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy components. In her spare time, Audrey enjoys cooking, reading, and hanging out with her cat and dog.
