Purpose of the program:
Graduate Wellbeing Peers are a group of volunteers, trained by the Student Wellbeing Office, to be of service to fellow graduate students. As a peer resource, they aim to foster a community of graduate students who truly care about and for one another, and can offer support in times of need. The Graduate Wellbeing Peers aim to carry on Rice's Culture of Care through service, action, and communication.
Additional information:
Graduate Wellbeing Peers receive training where they learn the basics of mental health, stress management, time management, and interpersonal communication, and can help you learn how to seek help. Trainings are held and organized by the Student Wellbeing Office a few times throughout the year. If you would like additional information regarding the Graduate Wellbeing Peers, please email wellbeing@rice.edu or contact the GSA Wellbeing Representative.
