Chris Nuñez, LMSW

Chris is a Licensed Social Worker. He received a Masters Degree in Social Work from Hunter College in NYC and a Bachelor degree in Sociology, Psychology and Black Studies from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Prior to joining the team at Rice, Chris worked for the KIPP Charter School network. He was Director of Social Work at KIPP Academy where he developed and co-led the school-wide advisory program, served on the leadership team, led parent and student support groups, provided professional training for teachers and worked individually with at-risk students and students with Individual Education Plans. He is fluent in Spanish. He loves spending time with family and friends, caring for his houseplants and attending live concerts and sporting events.
