Agnes is a Licensed Master level Social Worker. She received a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honors) Degree in Social Work from the City University of Hong Kong. Before coming to Rice in 2012, she worked with the Harris County TRIAD-STAR program, where she provided counseling and outreach services for at-risk youth and their families, and at ESCAPE Family Resource Center in Houston, where she provided professional trainings and supervised child abuse and domestic violence prevention programs to support family health and well-being. She has worked with diverse Asian populations and is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. She loves traveling, art performances, and spending time with her family and friends.
Cash received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from University of Houston. He worked for RUPD for 13 years before he joined Student Wellbeing Office as a Wellbeing Advisor. Before working at Rice, he held various positions working with students and youth ranging from: director of safety and security for a school, caseworker at various youth facilities, and school teacher. He enjoys spending time with his family and working with students. He especially finds meaning in helping students achieve their goals.
Kathleen received a Masters Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from St. Edward's University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and a member of the American Counseling Association. Kathleen is passionate about living a meaningful and fulfilling life through building awareness, creating healthy coping skills, and establishing authentic relationships. She is an avid runner and animal lover. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling near and far, meeting new people, and finding a book to get lost in.
Patricia is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Anthropology. Before coming to Rice, she worked as a Library Assistant with the Houston Public Library, where she helped to implement young adult programs including the After School program and Summer Reading program, and served as a volunteer at the Houston Holocaust Museum, where she helped to organize current, past, and future exhibits. She enjoys meeting Rice students and helping them with their college experiences as the first point of contact in the Wellbeing Office and as an assistant to student organizations. Her hobbies include reading, spending time with family and friends, and stalking food trucks across Houston.
Saralyn is a Licensed Master level Social Worker. She received a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Prairie View A&M University. Before coming to Rice in 2014, she worked at Northwest Assistance Ministries in the Family Violence Center, where she provided dating violence awareness and education to middle and high school students in the Houston area, and at ESCAPE Family Resource Center in Houston, where she developed parenting education classes and professional trainings to prevent child abuse. She loves to laugh, sing karaoke, and to spend time with her family.
