Dr. Muyco is a board certified adult psychiatrist who joined the Rice Counseling Center in 2025. A Houston native, Dr. Muyco received her B.S in Biology at the University of Houston and went on to earn her M.D at Baylor College of Medicine, where she found her calling in the field of psychiatry. She completed her Adult Psychiatry Training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Prior to joining the RCC, Dr. Muyco worked in various outpatient settings and has extensive experience in evaluating and treating patients from diverse backgrounds and populations. Her clinical interests and specializations include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, young adult and student mental health, and medical education. Dr. Muyco believes in a patient-centered collaborative approach that focuses on the individual's personal narrative to provide high quality, evidence-based treatment. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, reading, listening to music, working out, and eating food (especially desserts).
