Nancy Vincent, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), serves as the Community Behavioral Specialist at the Health and Wellbeing Office and the Rice University Police Department. She holds an MA in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and an MSW from the University of Houston's Graduate School of Social Work.
Before joining Rice University, Nancy worked as a Clinician and Mental Health Manager wth the University of Texas Medical Branch-Correctional Managed Care (UTMB) and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). In this role, she assessed the psychiatric needs of incarcerated individuals, provided counseling and case management services, and managed a team of clinicians to ensure quality patient care.
Nancy also has experience with Child Welfare Services in NYC, where she worked with at-risk children and families, addressing their needs in housing, mental health services, community-based support, employment, and education. She further honed her skills as a Clinical Care Coordinator at the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD and the Texana Behavioral Crisis Center. Additionally, she collaborated closely with Fort Bend County Law Enforcement, focusing on adults within the criminal justice system and those in psychiatric crisis.
In her free time, Nancy enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering, and traveling.
